Age 84, of Manawa, passed away on Monday May, 22, 2006 at Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King. He was born on July 16, 1921 in Woodside Long Island, New York, son of the late Joseph & Rhoda (Heath) Ball. On November 6, 1948, he married LaVerne "Betty" Johnson in Milwaukee. Adolph proudly served his country during World War II. He survived the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He received a purple heart for his injuries while in the South Pacific. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with family and friends. Buzz was always ready for fun. He was a member of the American Legion Post 176 of Weyauwega and the Manawa DAV. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa. He is survived by his wife: LaVerne "Betty"; two daughters: Beverly (Tom) Kipke; Tammy (Mark) Homan; two sons: Robert (Debbie) Ball; George (Donna) Ball; 10 grandchildren: Tonia, Nia, Teresa, William, Carl, Leslie, Amber, Courtney, Kellie and Bradley; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Woodrow Ball; Al (Sue) Ball; Joe Ball; three sisters: Susanna Stachera; Betty Reuter; Tina (Rod) Vreisman. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents, three sisters and a brother preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held on Friday May, 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating. Burial will be at Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in King. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
