Alvin Rohde

Age 92, of Ogdensburg, died on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Iola Living Assistance. He was born on September 5, 1915 in the Town of Helvetia, son of the late Edward & Emelia (Besler) Rohde. Alvin farmed in the Town of Helvetia, Waupaca County, all of his life. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. He is survived by a sister: Sarah Volz, New London; 2 nephews: Ralph Jensen, Ogdensburg; William (Judy) Rohde, New Brighton, MN.; 3 nieces: Patricia (Dean) Zander, Manawa; Carol (Craig) Jannusch, Des Plaines, IL; Shirley (Ned) Clesceri, Des Plaines, IL; also great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Elmer, Fred, Carl; 3 sisters: Ottelia Rineck, Ella Rohde and Ida Jensen. The funeral service for Alvin will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in the Town of Union. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
