Age 99, of Weyauwega, went to his heavenly home on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. He was born on August 30, 1913, in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County, son of the late Albert and Clara Schmidt. On December 25, 1941, he was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Hallman. She preceded him in death in 2010. Arthur was a hard worker, being a logger, farmer and a sheet metal crafter. He also built three houses and remodeled homes. He enjoyed deer hunting, and watching his bees. He was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. He is survived by four children: Betty A. Moss, David A. (Laura) Schmidt, Robert J. (Darlene) Schmidt, Janice R. (James) Prasher-Geoffrey; grandchildren: Thomas Erbentraut, Jeanne Tobleman, Rebecca Dawson, William Moss, David Schmidt, Lori Wegener, Paul Schmidt, Jennifer Berkhahn; also great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law: Rev. Gerhardt (Beverly) Hallman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Beisdes his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Henry Schmidt, Ella Hallada, Anna Rabas, Clara Walbruck, Alma Walbruck and Albert Schmidt. The Christian Funeral for Arthur will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Newlin Schafer and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation for Arthur will be held at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
