Albert "Bert" Charles Timm, 65, of Manawa, Wisconsin went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was born on October 13, 1958, in Milwaukee.
Bert loved fishing, farming, his family and his friends. He was happiest on his Oliver tractors making hay on his hobby farm and taking his son, daughter and five granddaughters to Brewers games. He was a hard working guy who took pride in being a part of the United Steel Workers Local 2-1970 at Amcor (Curwood) in New London. In his free time he enjoyed chasing walleye and white bass on the Wolf River. He volunteered his time to the Manawa Lions every year starting in 1996 to sell beer, soda and water out of his wheelbarrow at the Manawa Rodeo, and was recognized by folks around the state as "the wheelbarrow man from the rodeo."
He is survived by his children: Jake Timm and Michelle (Andy) Drath; 5 grandchildren: Kennedy Timm, Hadley Timm, Josie Timm, Emilee Drath, and Abigail Drath; mother, Nancy Timm; sister, Barb (Peter) Claussen; brother, Clarence (Barb) Timm.
He was preceded in death by father, Charles Timm.
Bert's family would like to thank Tyler and Liz Clary, Liz Claussen, Heather Ferg, Kaileigh Schoenrock, Moments Hospice and Arc Angels for all of the love, care and support they provided over the past year.
The Funeral Service for Bert will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manawa with Reverend Nathan Reichle officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment will be at Baldwins Mill Cemetery in the Town of Royalton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Manawa Rodeo are appreciated. Memorial donations should be mailed to Manawa Rodeo, PO Box 952, Manawa, WI, 54949 and write "Bert Timm" on the memo line.
