Age 81, of Ogdensburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. She was born on March 3, 1930, in Ogdensburg daughter of the late Claude and Alvira (Knudsen) Johnson. On March 31, 1950 she married Gilbert Buchholz in Manawa, celebrating 60 years of marriage this year with her family. Betty and Gilbert farmed for 40 years. She loved to cook and bake. She loved the warmer weather, being able to feed the birds and tend to her outside flowers. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; children: Donna (Harold) Hopp, Stevens Point; Wayne (Sue) Buchholz, Clintonville; Diane (Jon) Seeger, Ogdensburg; Todd (Laura) Buchholz, Manawa; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Howard Johnson, Ogdensburg; Melvin Johnson, Milwaukee. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents and brother Arlyn Johnson preceded her in death. The funeral service for Betty will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Wally Waite officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
