Age 88, Town of Royalton, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. He was born on January 21, 1923, in Dale, son of the late Ludwig and Emilie (Bigalke) Spiegelberg. In the early 1940's Carl worked at a Marinette Mill to get a team of horses for the home farm. In 1945 he started buying and selling used equipment as well as farming. In 1960 he moved to his present location to expand his farming and farm equipment sales which is being carried on by his son Scott. On August 11, 1962, he was united in marriage to Olleatta Moak in the Town of Lind Center. She preceded him in death in 1992. He enjoyed reading, polka music, international traveling, dancing, fishing, poetry and had a sensitive heart. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. He is survived by a son: Scott (Sharon) Spiegelberg, and their children: Ashley (Adam) Quinn, Adam and Jordan; daughter: Laurie (Dominek) Spiegelberg-Everaet and her son Noah; two step-sons: James Timm and his fiancé Irma Caban-Smith, and Jim's daughters Kari (Darryl) Case and their children Christian, Katarina and Anika; Joli (Nathan) Guenther, and their son Gerald; Amie (Scott) Harvey, and their children Keira and Natalie; Conrad (Joanne) Timm and his children Aaron (Jill) Timm, and their children Jacob, Jensen and Megan; Matthew (Bobbi Jo) Timm and their children MaCayla, Vincent and Cecilyah; and also Erica Timm and her daughter Lexus; special friend Ardyce Rice; brother Harold Spiegelberg; sister Ruth Montgomery. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters Jenette Wegener and Lorine Stiebs; and two brothers Louis and John Spiegelberg. The funeral service for Carl will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Wally Waite and Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
