Chris Ryan Roehl, age 48, of Manawa, WI, passed away, a result of an accident, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1976, the "number one" son to Ryan and Nancy Roehl.
Anyone that knew Chris knew he was a hard worker, always busy making money. As a young boy he started cutting up deer in the shop to earn money with Mom and Dad. Later on when Nancy and Ryan bought the bakery, he would help with deposits and delivery. At the bakery Chris had to make sure to test the quality of everything, especially the frosting, to make sure it was up to his standards. Whether it was at Sturms, where he worked for 25 years, or his side businesses, he always gave his best. Chris started his own successful lawn care business over 15 years ago, and his own DJ business. When he wasn't working, he had a cold one in his hand with friends. Chris was a lifelong fan of the 49'ers, University of Michigan basketball and the Chicago Bulls. He would always make time to volunteer in the community including: the Symco Thresheree, Manawa Snodeo, and Bluegrass Bash. He would help bartend and was always the DJ in the parade for Steve and Michelle's Midtown float.
Chris left an impression with anyone he met, and will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind his parents, Ryan and Nancy Roehl; sister, Leann (Chuck) McDaniel; brother, Brad (Chelsey) Roehl; and his girlfriend, Valerie Schmude and her children Gabby and Pierce, as well as many other family members and friends.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents: Orville and Alice Roehl, and James and Jane Severson; his Aunt Sandy Severson and Uncle Fred Severson, along with other cousins, family members, and friends.
A Memorial Service for Chris will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Kelly Loken officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM and on Friday prior to the service from 9:30AM - 10:45AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you volunteer and make a difference in your community in his honor for any cause that is near and dear to your heart in his memory.
