Age 85, died Thursday, July 5, 2007. Clarence was born on April 24, 1922 in Manawa son of the late Reinhold and Marie (Knopp) Steingraber. Clarence married Viann Lou Vaughan on November 5, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran church in Manawa. Clarence was a dairy farmer, devoted husband and father to six children. He enjoyed everything about "the great outdoors." He especially enjoyed deer-hunting season when friends and family would gather opening weekend. Clarence was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa and dedicated supporter of its school, serving on several committees and boards including Church Chairman. Clarence is survived by his children whom he and Viann lovingly raised in the Lord: Randy (Lynn) Steingraber, Manawa; Larry (Kathy) Steingraber, Slinger; Leann (Scott) Furger, Green Bay; Wayne (Lori) Steingraber, Joni (Bryan) Bonikowske; Holly (Bill) Keough, all of Manawa. Sixteen grandchildren: Phillip, Angela and Michael, children of Randy; Daniel Son of Larry; Candace, Gregory, Lucas and Jeffery, children of Leann; Steven (Lori), Jeremy (Miranda), Matthew and Heather, children of Wayne; Ehren, Erik, Jasmyn and Anya, children of Joni. Clarence is also survived by two great grandchildren: Ethan and Serenity, children of Jeremy; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and loving wife Viann, Clarence is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Lynn, daughter of Randy; Arnold Steingraber, brother and his wife, Hildegard; Otto Steingraber, brother, and his wife, Gertrude; Elna Wepner, sister and her husband Victor. The Christian Funeral Service for Clarence will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa, on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may call directly at the church on Sunday, from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Lutheran Church for the Vision 2000 Fund in memory of Clarence. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at St. Joseph Residence, Dialysis Care and Heartland Hospice, especially Char, for the tender loving care given to our father.
