Clarendon John Zirbel

February 23, 1931 — November 4, 2010

Age 73 of Weyauwega passed away Thursday November 4, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in New London February 23, 1937, son of the late Arnold and Elsie (Bork) Zirbel. He lived in the Town of Royalton most of his life working at Benson Corp. and Clark Lumber Co. in Weyauwega. He worked at Behnke Grocery, Augie's, and later Dennis Grocery in Waupaca. He was then a cook at Jenson Restaurant and most recently at Schueller's Great Expectation's in Waupaca. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, caring for flowers and feeding the squirrels. Steve was a 4-H leader for many years. He is survived by five brothers and eight sisters: Beverly (Robert) Glocke, New London; Darnell Zirbel, Waupaca; LaWayne (Nancy) Zirbel, Weyauwega; Karen Zirbel, Appleton; Janet (Donald) Bielke, Appleton; Darlene (Lee) Mosher, Shawano; Charlotte VanCuick, Freedom; Sandra (David) LeClair, Combined Locks; Irene (Steve) Rothe, New London; Orin (Lynn) Zirbel, Royalton; Argil Zirbel, Milwaukee; Jack (Betty) Zirbel, Pembine; Victoria Zirbel, Appleton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and a special friend: Larry Schueller. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Gerhardt and James, as well as a brother-in-law George VanCuick. The funeral service for "Steve" will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 9, 2010 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
