Colleen Marie Schuelke

Colleen Schuelke, town of Lind, Waupaca Co, age 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children on August 15, 2021. She was born on April 8, 1961 in Appleton, the daughter of Thomas and Marie (Maloney) Dolan. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 1979. On September 24, 1988 she married Thomas Schuelke at the Red Mill in Waupaca.

Colleen is survived by her husband Thomas and four children: Nicole (Trevor) Hofstetter, De Pere; Nathan (Brittaney) Schuelke, Weyauwega; Katie (Keegan) Schuelke, Seattle; and Brian (Alex) Schuelke, Waupaca, stepson Clint (Jessi) Schuelke, Berlin and Nick Robbert (Weyauwega) who was welcomed into our family years ago. She is further survived by five grandchildren: Kaden, Danica, Noelle, Letty and Asher Schuelke. She is also survived by two brothers Pat (Debbie) Dolan, Sean (Christine) Dolan and three sisters Maureen (Chris) Stoffel, Eileen Dolan and Shannon (Kevin) Pomeroy as well as many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Dennis Dolan and Kevin Dolan, and sister-in-law Michelle Dolan.

Colleen loved many things including the Packers and Brewers, tending to her flowers and spending time with her family. She filled her yard and wrap-around porch with flowers, potted plants and all kinds of decorations. Her serenity circle is a work of art, full of flowers, birdfeeders and yard ornaments. She especially loved sunflowers, lilies and black-eyed susans. She was very close with her family, enjoying time spent with her siblings, husband, children and grandchildren. She cherished sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and lauging with loved ones. Colleen also enjoyed kayaking and camping, especially over the fourth of July. She also loved watching the stars and meteorshowers. She loved children and spent her earlier years teaching and guiding special needs children at Weyauwega-Fremont school. Many people thought of Colleen as a mother and grandmother, not just her family. She truly was a beautiful soul that will be missed by many.

There will be a Celebration of Life service will be held at the Schuelke Farm at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a weeping willow that will be planted in her memory at the Farm.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference.
