David Gilbert Baumann, age 75, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, WI.

Dave was born on December 26, 1948 in Fond du Lac, WI to the late Gilbert "Gib" and Mildred Schwartz Baumann and grew up on the family farm in Eden, WI.

Dave attended grade school at St. Paul's Lutheran School, Town of Forest, Campbellsport High School, and UW-Oshkosh, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1976. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1969.

On September 29, 1984 he married Andrea Schroeder in New London, WI and together they celebrated over 39 years of marriage. Dave was a long-term employee at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah, WI and retired after 34 years of service.

Dave was very proud and happy to host over 30 years of family gatherings at "Party at the Ponds" in Eden, generating many memories and fun times. He and Andi also enjoyed many years of Florida beach vacations with family and friends. Dave was a great shopper and always found the perfect gifts for his wife and family.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Andrea, mother-in-law Ruby Schroeder, sister-in-law Julie Schroeder and many cherished relatives and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers Gary and Dale, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Dave will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 11:30 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Forest (W2090 State Road 23, Mount Calvary, WI), with Rev. Ian Headrick officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 - 11:30 AM prior to the service. Military rites will be held.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Forest, the Wisconsin Parkinson Association, or the Purple Martin Conservation Association.

The family would like to thank the staff at Touchmark, Bethel Home, and Compassus Hospice for their care and support.

A special thanks to Dan who visited Dave often during his time at Touchmark in Appleton. Dave was a generous soul and loyal husband who will be missed greatly by his wife, family, and friends.
