Age 85, of Ogdensburg, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on July 25, 1922 in Manawa, son of the late George and Zoe (Rousseau) Kosmerchock. On June 21, 1947, he married Betty Haight at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa. David was employed with A. Sturm & Sons, Manawa, and then farmed in Ogdensburg for many years until his retirement. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Manawa DAV and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty; his children: Donna Balthazor, New London; Jane (Leroy) Beyer, Manawa; Barbara (Mike) Blank, New London; Dave (Kathy) Kosmerchock, New London; Bill Kosmerchock, Scandinavia; Joe (Helen) Kosmerchock, New London; Terri (Jack) Weasner, New London; a son-in-law: Jerry Kreps, New London; 19 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren. He is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jean Kreps, 3 sisters and 5 brothers, also his father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Eunice Haight, and a son-in-law Samuel Balthazor. The Funeral Mass for David will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Fr. Bert Samsa OFM Cap officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
