David E. Doede

David E. Doede, age 82, Town of Lind, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Theda Care Hospital in Appleton. He was born on February 6, 1942, in Weyauwega, son of the late Edwin and Renore (Reek) Doede. On December 16, 1973, he was united in marriage to Jean Blink. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2016.

David graduated from Weyauwega-Fremont High School. Following high school, he served his country in the US Army. Once returned home, he worked for Benson Corporation in Weyauwega for many years. He then worked at Churny Cheese in Waupaca until his retirement. After retirement he drove Milk Truck for Weyauwega Star Dairy a couple days a week. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and especially time with family.

David is survived by his 3 children: Mike (Tracy) Doede, Melissa Johnson and Lisa Doede; grandchildren: Garrett and Jacob Doede, Brianna Johnson, Anthony and Colton Doede, Ciara Doede; brothers: Stanley Doede and Gerald (Sue) Doede; sister, Shirley Niemuth; sister-in-law, Marie Doede; brother-in-law, Tom Peters. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Gloria (Harland) Niemuth and Linda Peters; brother, Kenneth Doede; brother-in-law, Glen Niemuth.

The memorial service for David will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 2:00pm at Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega (101 E Main St) with Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00pm - 1:45pm at the Celebration Center. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery, Town of Lind.
