David J. Herman

January 16, 1987 — April 23, 2020

David J. Herman, age 33, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 23 of natural causes. He was born on January 16th, 1987 in the Town of Marshfield, WI, son of Ron Herman Jr. and Katherine L. Fritz. David graduated from Little Wolf high school in Manawa in 2005. On August 14th, 2005 he was united in marriage to Noël B. Arndt at Grace Lutheran Church in Huntsville, AL. He was a proud owner of Freedom Dental Solutions. Prior to that, he spent the past 5 years as office manager then regional manager of Aspen Dental. He was a staff sergeant in the Wisconsin National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2010-2011 as a convoy gunner in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.

David had a deep love for the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and ‘be with the Lord’ in nature. He was known for his infectious laugh and loved by all who were blessed to know him. David never shied away from a hard day’s work and was always first in line to help anyone in need. He was a dedicated, selfless, intentional, and kind man who put his love of God, family, and America above all else. He loved life but wasn’t afraid to lay it down. His life overflowed into others. He was a strong leader and a natural mentor who cared about everyone. David was a true friend to all and a deep source of comfort to those around him. He loved hard and he loved deeply. His young son says, “He inspires me to become the man I am today.”

He is survived by his wife, Noël, and his children Nathan (11), Whitley (7), and Lincoln (3), his mother Katherine Fritz (Michael), his father Ronald Herman Jr. (Becky), his brothers Joshua Nichols and Riley Herman, his sisters Elizabeth Kinsman (Ryan) and Kristin Herman. He is further survived by his grandfather William Kinsman and grandmother Katherine Herman.

He is preceded in death by his infant son Noah, Grandfather Ronald Herman Sr., Grandmother Janet Kinsman, and Uncle Mark Kinsman.
