Delmer F. Dieck

Scandinavia - Delmer F. Dieck, 88, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Marshfield, WI.

Del was born on August 5, 1936, in Marion, WI, to the late Fred and Marie (Suehring) Dieck.

After graduating from Marion High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, where he met and married Karalee Bork on September 7, 1957.

Del received his degree in Education and went on to have a successful career as a high school math teacher. He spent the first two years teaching in Lena, WI and the rest of his career was in Waupaca, WI.

Del had a very loving personality and was known for his unique sense of humor. He had a joke for every occasion.

He was also a man of many interests and talents, including hunting, fishing, farming, photography, reading, horseback riding, computers, and creating and maintaining a family tree.

A fun-loving man with a huge heart and a gentle soul, who adored children, he was better known as "Uncle Del" to countless individuals over the years.

Del is survived by his wife, Karalee; son, Michael (wife Dorri) Dieck; son, James (wife Sandy) Dieck; daughter, Paula Dieck; grandchildren: Mallory (husband Matt) Lynch, Angela (husband Wesley) Anderson, Jonathan (wife Leslie) Dieck, Kristopher (wife Lucy) Dieck, Megan Dieck, Jordan (wife Zabrina) Dieck, Eve Dieck, Benjamin Dieck; great grandson, Zeon Dieck.

A Christian Funeral for Del will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 3:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupaca with Rev. Ben Kempfert officiating. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 1:00pm until 2:45pm. Del will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Waupaca County Humane Society.
