Dennis Wilke

March 14, 1933 — April 22, 2006

age 73, of Weyauwega passed away Saturday April 22, 2006 at Appleton Medical center following a brief illness. He was born March 14, 1933 in the Township of Bloomfield, Waupaca Co. son of the late John and Clara (Kamp) Wilke. Dennis resided in Weyauwega the past 33 years. He had been employed by Great Northern Corp in Appleton for 33 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War (1953-1955). He was an active member of the Arndt-Bruley American Legion Post 176 in Weyauwega for over 30 years and held various offices including that of Post commander. He was an active member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, where he held various church offices. He presently was president of the Hatton Cemetery Association. Dennis loved and enjoyed his family and friends. His hobbies were golfing, fishing and card playing. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. Survivors include his loving wife: Germaine; two sons: Steve (Melanie) and Bryan, all of Oklahoma; a daughter: Denise (Scott) Baldwin, Grand Rapids, MI; two grandchildren: Reece and Kaitlyn; two sisters: Sadie Borchardt, Menasha; Betty (Charles) Seidl, Combined Locks; three brothers: Russell (Shirley), Neenah; Duaine (Rita), Menasha; Roger (Diane), Appleton; his mother-in-law: Irmgard Behn; step-son: Randy (Mary) Bucholtz; four step-grandchildren: Chad and Crystal Bucholtz; Mandy Bucholtz; Carrie (Dan) Foehring; six step great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Evelyn, Dorothy and Fran; a brother-in-law: Darrell (Wilda) Behn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Melvin, Harold and Victor; two sisters: Virginia and Jenny; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in law; two nieces; step-father-in-law: Eldor Behn; and step-son: Steven Bucholtz. The Christian funeral service for Dennis will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 25, 2006 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Hatton Cemetery. There will be graveside military rites. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday (Today) at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega and Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
