Age 81, of Manawa, fell asleep in her Heavenly Father's arms on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on March 28, 1927 in Marshfield, daughter of the late William Martin and Minnie Marcella (Robertson) Eggebrecht. She was educated in the Marshfield school system and the University of Wisconsin Stout. After graduation she taught home economics in the Little Wolf High School in Manawa. In 1952, she married Leo Ferg and retired for homemaking and raising a family. However there was a shortage of teachers and she was asked to do substitute work and later set up the new middle schools domestic science department and curriculum. She enjoyed this age group of students so much that she stayed in the half day teaching position until retirement age. She had many interests that kept her more than busy each day. Among them were sewing, cooking, reading, plants-especially African violets and her flower garden. Her church was important to her. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church in Manawa and their Ladies Aid, and she enjoyed other church activities also. She enjoyed water aerobics and that helped with her arthritis. Dolores was a dedicated mother. She put her children's interests before hers. Being an only child, she loved having her family around her. She is survived by her husband Leo and four children: Alice Menzel, Appleton; Ron Ferg, New York City, NY; Russell Ferg and his fiancé Tammy, Manawa; Kathleen "Kay" (James) Williamson, Appleton; her grandchildren: Michael (Amy) Menzel, Megan Menzel, Shaina Ferg, Stacie Ferg, Benjamin Ferg, Alec Ferg, and Marilee Williamson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law Jim Menzel. The funeral service for Dolores will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Wally Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
