Donald D. Duesterbeck

Age 85, Town of Royalton, went to the arms of his Savior on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1926, in the Town of Neikimi, son of the late Herman and Erna (Pietz) Duesterbeck. On September 6, 1947, he married Vera Bonnett. Donald was an Assessor in many Townships in Waupaca County. He worked for Farmway in Manawa, also 4 Wheel Drive in Clintonville. Donald enjoyed working with wood and participated in many Pioneer Craft Shows. He was active in the Waupaca Historical Society, and the Royalton Garden Club. He was a member of Crystal Lake United Methodist Church in Waupaca and also the Winchester Academy. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera; also nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Irmogene Reese and Dorothy Hall; sister-in-law Vivian Struensee; also his mother and father-in-law Jerome and Alice Bonnett. The funeral service for Donald will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Crystal Lake United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey S. Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. A visitation for Donald will be held directly at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
