Dorothy M. Behm

Age 85, of Weyauwega, died suddenly of a heart attack on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Waupaca Riverside Hospital. She was born on February 2, 1924 in the Town of Fremont, daughter of the late Rinehardt and Mollie (Pagel) Doede. On February 17, 1946 she married Marlyn Behm in West Bloomfield. She worked various jobs and most recently at Sanger's Pharmacy in Weyauwega for over 22 years, where she enjoyed talking with all the people she met. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega and very active in the Ladies Aid. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years. Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved the beautiful outdoors and the special family times she had sitting next to a campfire up north listening to the beautiful calls of the Loons. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Marlyn; two sons: Duane (Karen) Behm, Tempe, AZ.; Lon (Gaye) Behm, Palmyra; four grandchildren: Tawnya (Dan) Caldwell, Tucson, AZ.; Tyler (Carrie) Behm, Waddell, AZ.; Josh (Heidi) Behm, Helenville; Miranda (Matt) Macur, Mukwonago; eight great-grandchildren: Zach and Tatum Caldwell, Colby and Casey Behm, Aiden and Grace Behm and Hannah and Jack Macur. She is further survived by a loving brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Elmer Doede and sister Milda Bauer. The memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Robbin Robbert officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations may be made to the Building on The Rock Program at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.
