Douglas C. Sutter, Jr.

Douglas Clarence Sutter Jr., 73, of Manawa, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. He joined the Army as a teenager and traveled the world experiencing many different cultures. After an honorable discharge from active duty, he spent the rest of his career in the US Postal Service as a letter carrier. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, fishing in all seasons, bird watching, running errands for his sister Sherry, hunting for deer with his sister Sandy, watching his favorite wrestling show, and was a huge Green Bay Packer Fan.

Doug is survived by his children: Melanie (Durward) Gomez, Deanna (Dea) Prescott, Yanileisi (Yani) and Angelina Sutter Castillo; grandchildren: Zachary Taylor, Lara and Kirra Gomez; siblings: Sharel Flanagan and Sandy Baur; nieces: Alida and Jamie.

His ashes will be laid to rest in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial in King.
