Earl A. Williams

Age 70, Shiocton, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 with his family by his side at Appleton Medical Center. Earl was born on October 5, 1938, in Shawano, son of the late Iren and Ora (Butler) Williams. On August 31, 1994, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Guyette Thurk. Earl worked at Bend Industries in Appleton for 35 years; retiring in 2003. He loved fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Phyllis (Ron) Dain, Ogdensburg; a son, Steven (Julie) Werner, Shiocton; three stepchildren, Roger Thurk (special friend Kelly), New London; Ronnie Thurk (special friend Mary), New London; Lisa (Tim) Besaw, New London; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Kathleen) Williams, Red Granite; three sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Tyson, Oshkosh; Betty Buchanan, Winneconne and Irene Buchanan, Omro.. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Earl is preceded in death by two sons, Earl Jr. and Erick a sister, Joan Gorski and a brother-in-law Warren Buchanan. Funeral services for Earl will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton with Rev. Michael Isbill officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 PM and on Monday after 1:00 PM until the time of service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Earls close friends for all of their support. He will be greatly missed.
