Edgar Otto Hornburg

Age 89, of Bear Creek, Town of Union, Waupaca County, died on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Greentree Health and Rehab Center in Clintonville. He was born on November 3, 1920 in the Town of Union, son of the late Frank and Ottelia (Pethke) Hornburg. On June 2, 1946 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Becker at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. She preceded him in death on May 6, 2009. Edgar farmed on the home farm in the Town of Union for many years until 1966. He then worked at various companies until retiring in 1996. He was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. He is survived by a son: Stanley Hornburg, Bear Creek; daughter: Carolyn (Francis) Windmier, Clintonville. He is further survived by 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter and 3 brothers. The funeral service for Edgar will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Symco. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
