Edna M. Gorman

August 4, 1935 — June 9, 2008

Age 72, of Manawa, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. She was born on August 4, 1935 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Arthur & Alice (Kramer) Wuest. On September 26, 1959 she married Garret Gorman at St. John's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Edna went to grade school at St. John's and then graduated from Oshkosh High School in June of 1953. She worked at Heiss Bakery in Oshkosh as a bookkeeper from 1953 -1959. Since her marriage to Garret, she lived and farmed in the Town of Lebanon, Waupaca County. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa and their Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Garret; children and grandchildren: Ann (Thomas) Cychosz, Dallas, TX; and their son Anton of Houston, TX; Thomas (Marie) Gorman, Manawa; and their children Peter, Emma and Hanna; Judy (Tony) Hansford, Oxford, OH; and their children Beth and Mason; brothers: Richard (Mary Ellen) Wuest, Oshkosh; Louis (Kathy) Wuest, Oshkosh; a sister Mary (Oscar) Hildebrandt, Tomahawk. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Peter and a sister Susan Gauger. The Funeral Mass for Edna will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Fr. Bert Samsa OFM Cap officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
