Elaine J. Ferg

Elaine Jeanette Ferg, age 96, of Manawa, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 2, 2018. She was born in Waupaca County, on June 19, 1922, daughter of the late Arnold and Clara (Mengert) Sturm. Elaine graduated from Little Wolf High School. Elaine married Alvern Ferg; they celebrated 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2011. Elaine and Alvern, along with their son Jerry, farmed in the Town of Union for many years. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. You could see the love in her eyes when she was with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa.

She is survived by her daughters: Phyllis (Arnie) Heideman and Lois (Jim) Rupno; grandchildren: Jeremy Ferg, Josh Ferg, Joe (Michelle) Ferg, Austin (Tracy) Heideman, Heidi Heideman, Dustin Heideman, and Jon (Megan) Rupno; great-grandchildren: McKenna and Eli Ferg, Madeline Heideman and Aiden, and Josephine Rupno; her brothers-in-law: Lloyd (Shirley) Ferg and Gordon Ferg. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Jerry and her sister-in-law Loretta (Ron) Herman.

The funeral service for Elaine will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. A visitation for Elaine will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
