Eloise Louise Jeske Seif age 82, of Appleton, WI passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022. Eloise was born on May 11, 1940 in New London, WI daughter of the late Otto and Josephine (Mattos) Jeske. Eloise graduated from Manawa High School in 1958. After graduation, she moved to Milwaukee, WI where she attended school to become a switchboard operator. Eloise was employed by New York Life Ins. Co. in Milwaukee before moving to Appleton to work for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. later transferring to Beaver Dam, WI. Eventually she returned to Appleton worked at Kaukauna Cheese and retired from Theda Clark Hospital.
In 1960 Eloise married Ray Wiater, and together they had four beautiful children.
In 1979 Eloise was remarried to Joe Seif who preceded her in death. Ellie, as many people called her, had a vast variety of interests. Her love of music, especially Elvis Presley, began when she played drums for eight years in the Manawa pep and marching bands, also when she sang in the church choir. Her ability to twirl a baton or bang the hum strum was always entertaining. Dancing was another favorite and she was happy to teach anyone the jitterbug. Ellie enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading or watching an old western. She was an excellent sketch artist and had always dreamed of being an art teacher. When Ellie wasn't tending to her flower beds, she'd be in the kitchen cooking or baking something delicious. She often volunteered her time and talents to her children's activities or in the community as she was a very social person. Ellie easily welcomed everyone into her heart and home as her thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity was endless. She was also like a second Mom to many extended family members. Being Mom and finally Grandma was truly her greatest joy. With a heart of gold, she devoted her life to and loved her family the most. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed XOXO.
Eloise is survived by her children Scott (Candy) Wiater of Appleton, Laura Hermann of Combined Locks, Steve Wiater of Greenville and Stacy Wiater (Mark) of Black Creek; grandchildren Kasi, Kyle, Justin, Ella, Lila and Sean; great-grandchildren Elliott, Kennedy and Hunter; step-son Jeff (Shelly) Seif; step- grandchildren Sarah and Shannon. She is further survived by many very special nephews, nieces and lifelong friends.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe Seif; sisters Jeanine Anstett and Patricia Minks; brother Jerry Jeske Sr; brothers-in-law Ralph Anstett Sr, Vern Minks and Bernard Wiater; nephew Larry Anstett; step-sons Joe and Dave Seif. As well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
