Elrid 'Tim' Simmons

Elrid "Tim" Rollo Simmons, age 85, of Manawa, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. He was born on January 2, 1930, in Granada, MN, son of the late Rollo and Helen (Berndt) Simmons. On June 20, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dolores Larsen in Blue Earth, MN. Elrid worked at Farmers Co-op in Iowa, MN, and after moving to Wisconsin, he worked as a custodian at the Manawa Middle School. Elrid was diagnosed with dementia in 2010, and has been a resident of Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega since that time. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca. He is survived by his wife Dolores, Manawa; children: Pam Fitzgerald, Cindy (Mike) Ehmen, Deb Miyazato, Tim (Tina) Simmons, David Simmons; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister: Shirley Ann Elg; a brother-in-law: Tom Larsen; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Ilyne Egan, Arvid Simmons, Elwin Simmons; step-dad,: Albert True; grandson: Timmy Simmons and a son-in-law Don Fitzgerald. The funeral for Elrid will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God in Waupaca (1420 Berlin St.) with Rev. Cliff Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Lake Cemetery, Waupaca. A visitation for Elrid will be held directly at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
