Hazel I. Olson

Age 95, of Ogdensburg, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on January 4, 1916, in Waupaca County, daughter of the late Keith and Nellie (Jay) Barton. On October 22, 1935 she married Devello Olson in Scandinavia. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1971. She was a life-long member of First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg. Hazel loved to watch golf, play cards and crocheting. She also enjoyed flowers and watching birds. She is survived by two daughters: Shirley (Ron) Fuhs, Manawa; Marie (Ken) Graef, Waupaca; grandchildren: Dorene Ehlke and special friend Tom Warzyn, Ryan Fuhs and Cary (Shelly) Fuhs; 4 great grandchildren: Kayla and her fiancé Jim, Dylan, Caitlin and Conner; 2 step-great grandchildren: Scott and Dakota. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Darrell, Harvey and Harlan; sisters: Genevieve Freeman, Jean Allen and Zelma Stone. The funeral service for Hazel will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg with Rev. Timothy Lofgren officiating. Burial will be in Ogdensburg Park Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
