Janet Lynn Wieters

Janet Lynn Wieters, age 64 of Weyauwega, passed away at home on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Janet was born on March 17, 1957 in New London, daughter of Alton and Linda (Wilcox) Ponto. She met the love of her life, Charles “Big C” in 1974. They were united in marriage on March 20, 1975, in Dexter, MO, and graduated together in May of 1975 from Weyauwega High School. Janet became a mother on July 28, 1975 with the birth of her daughter, Janelle. She earned a degree in Nursing from Fox Valley Technical College and lovingly served many people at the Weyauwega Health Care Center for over 35 years. Janet was very creative and loved to sew.

She is survived by her daughter: Janelle; mother: Linda Ponto; siblings: Joni (Curt) Hanson, Rick Ponto, Kevin (Bonnie) Ponto, Julie (Richard) Wieters; Wieters siblings: Cindy Hunter, Pamela (Ron) Kolb, Michael (Sheri) Wieters, Kim (Rick) Selk, Richard (Julie) Wieters. She is further survived by her dog: Ialso; granddogs: Willow and Ember, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Alton; husband: Charles “Big C” Wieters; mother and father-in-law: Joann and Clarence Wieters; nephew: Joshua Wieters.
