Jerome Jasman

Jerome "Jerry" Lee Jasman, age 77, of Manawa, passed away and was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Manawa Community Living Center. Jerome was born on October 8, 1945 in New London to Don and Verna Fisher. He attended school and church in Symco and was a confirmed member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he was employed in the area at Flanagan's Kraut Factory and Weyauwega Star Dairy. Jerry helped his close friend, John Schmidt at a bait shop in Fremont.

After hospitalizations, Jerry was unable to care for himself and lived at the Manawa Community Living Center since 2017.

Jerry was quite the character who loved to talk. His hobbies included fishing, making fishing lures and jewelry, reading, and he loved TV westerns with the volume always turned up. He was always included at family gatherings at the home of Larry and Diane Werth. Jerry never came empty-handed, always brought gifts and a cheese tray. He was a proud member of the Union Thresherman Club and was very helpful in the early years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Thank you to Beverly, Bill, Brittany and the entire staff at Manawa Community Living Center for their excellent care and kindness shown to Jerry. Also to Tina who did a great job assisting him with his walking exercises.

The Funeral Service for Jerry will be held at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Life Celebration Center on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday at the Celebration Center from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Symco.

Jerry has requested a memorial service which will be held at a later date at Unionville church on the Thresheree Grounds.
