Jerry R. Tessen

Age 58, of Manawa passed away Saturday April 14, 2007. He was born June 25, 1948 in New London, son of Herman and Roslyn (Handrich) Tessen. Jerry graduated from Manawa High School with the class of 1966. He had a life long career as a truck driver from 1966-2004. He started at Trade Winds, went to Meinerz Creameries, A. Sturm & Sons, Kimberly Clark, Fort Howard Paper Co. and finally Mills Fleet Farm. On September 24, 1982 he married Carol Schuelke at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. He had been a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Symco and recently developed a close relationship with Pastor Gary L. Strike of Faith Community Church in Waupaca. Jerry enjoyed his "Harley" and traveling and his cat "Paws". He is survived by his wife: Carol, his mother: Roslyn Tessen, Manawa; two sisters: Judy Dailey and special friend Bob Miller, Plainfield; JoAnne (Joe) Mollica, Manawa; his mother-in-law: Jean Schuelke, Manawa; two brothers-in-law: Don (Deborah) Schuelke, Manawa; Dave (Cheryl) Schuelke, Peoria, AZ; special nieces, nephews, cousins aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. The funeral for Jerry will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 19, 2007 at Faith Community Church N2541 County K Waupaca, WI with Pastor Gary L. Strike officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Manawa. Relatives and friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday April 18, 2007 and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service
