James W. Miller

James Miller, age 86, formerly of Appleton, passed away on November 10, 2022, after a long battle with heart disease. He was born on June 8, 1936, in Sherwood to the late James and Mame (Mielke) Miller.

Jim graduated from Neenah High School and served two years in the army. He was united in marriage on December 1, 1962, to Mina Crowell and they shared 59 years together. Jim had many careers, including over a decade with the Appleton Public Schools and 30 years for the US Postal Service in Appleton. There he worked as a rural mail carrier, the majority of the time on rural route S. Jim was an old car lover and enjoyed attending the local car shows as well as cheering on his brother Gerry while stock car racing. He was a true dog lover, especially his beloved 'Enzo', who passed on before him.

Jim is survived by his wife Mina; son: Eric; daughter: Jane Kessler; granddaughter: Abby; siblings: Mildred Applegate, Don Miller, David Miller, Marlene Doepke, Richard Miller, Russell Wolfgram, and Beverly Wolfgram.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Miller and Gerald Wolfgram and sister, Jeanette Wilmsen.

A private celebration of life for Jim will be held.
