Jon had recently retired after an impressive career of 39 years at the Waupaca County Highway Department. His dedication and hard work were evident in his long-standing service to the county. Throughout his career, he displayed a strong work ethic and commitment to ensuring safe and well-maintained highways.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jon was a loving father and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He was the most amazing and supportive dad and grandpa. His children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, bringing him immeasurable joy.
One of Jon's notable qualities was his quick wit. He always had a great story up his sleeve that could bring laughter to any room. His warm and friendly nature endeared him to those around him, making him a cherished friend to many. Outside of work, he was a great, avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his loving children: Courtney (Nick) Marks, Brooklyn (Caleb) Billington, and Steven Billington. He also leaves behind three adored grandchildren: Tenley, Teagen, and Taysom Marks. Jon is further survived by his siblings: Pam (Kevin) Welch, Barb (Chad) Stilen, Ben (Michelle) Billington; as well as aunts Joanne Gettendorf and Pat Billington; uncle Gary Weiss; loving, extended family members including cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
