Joyce Pirk

Age 83, of Manawa, died on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on March 15, 1923 in Waupaca, daughter of the late Walter & Cora (Danielson) Abrahamson. On March 13, 1943, she married Marvin T. Pirk in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2000. Joyce farmed with her husband Marvin in the Town of Lind and then moved to the Town of Little Wolf in 1963. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. She is survived by two sons: Richard (Karen) Pirk, Waupaca; Robert G. (Kathy) Pirk, Manawa; six grandchildren: Donald, Douglas, Daniel (Kathy), Gary, Paul (Tori) and Lisa; three great-grandchildren: Natasha, Lexi Rose, Maleah; a brother: Perry (Jean) Abrahamson, Waupaca; a sister: Helen Affeldt, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Gordon, three sisters: Inez Batten, Fern Orr, Jean Handrich. The funeral service for Joyce will be held on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Wally Waite officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and on Monday at the church from noon until the time of the service.
