Judith A. Schendel age 78, New London, formerly of Weyauwega, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1943 in Iola, daughter of the late Glen and Ethel (Wilcox) Dumbleton. Judy graduated from Weyauwega-Fremont High School. She did home child care for many years. She also worked at Hillshire Farm in New London for 10 years. She loved fishing, camping, bonfires, dancing, and just being outdoors.
She is survived by her children: Curtis Peterson, Mark Peterson and his significant other Mary Combs, Heidi Peterson and her significant other James Gauthier; grandchildren: Hayden, McKenna, Micaela, Sammay and significant other Xavier, and Jimmy; great-granddaughter Sofia; brother Larry Dumbleton; brother-in-law Tom Prahl. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, former husband Alan Peterson and friends.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her twin brother Jerry Dumbleton; sister Carol Prahl; husband Bill Stillman, who was the love of her life, and sister-in-law Joan Dumbleton.
The Funeral Mass for Judy will be held on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega (608 E. Main St.) with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating. Burial will be in Hobart Cemetery, Town of Royalton. A visitation for Judy will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Life Celebration Center of Weyauwega, and on Wednesday at the Church from 9:30- 10:45 am.
