Kenneth E. Dobbert

Kenneth E. Dobbert, age 82, of Weyauwega passed away Saturday May 23, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 27, 1926 in the Town of Weyauwega, Waupaca County, son of the late Elmer and Laura (Knobla) Dobbert. He graduated from Weyauwega High School where he participated in athletics. On June 17, 1947 he married Evelyn O. Peterson in Scandinavia, WI. She preceded him in death June 19, 2000. Kenneth lived in the Town of Weyauwega his entire life. He was self employed as a live bait dealer for 60 years. He was a life member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his brothers in Minnesota, the annual family vacation to Minnesota and in later years, muskie fishing and trips to Arizona. Kenneth is survived by his children: Peter Dobbert, Weyauwega; Linda Dobbert, Weyauwega; Sharon (Bill) Krapil, Lockport, IL; Loren (Bonnie) Dobbert, Beverly (Rick) Binley, Leroy (Cheryl) Dobbert, Paul Dobbert and Jeanne Dobbert, all of Weyauwega; eight grandchildren and a great grandchild; five brothers: Harley Dobbert, Butch Dobbert, Allan (Ramona) Dobbert, Duane (Geraldine) Dobbert, all of Weyauwega; Frank (Barbara) Dobbert, New London; a sister: Judy Schumann, Weyauwega; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Everlyn, a son Marvin and two sisters: Carol and Virginia. The Christian funeral service for Kenneth will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 26, 2009 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
