Age 86, of Manawa, died on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. She was born on August 10, 1925 in Stephensville, daughter of the late Otto and Henrietta (Knaack) Kroeger. On November 24, 1945 she was united in marriage to Gerald Sabrowsky. He preceded her in death in 1994. LaVila graduated from Tigerton High School in 1941. She lived in Split Rock and Shawano before moving to Manawa in 1954. She worked at AAL and Four Wheel Drive before her marriage. She then worked at Trade Winds from 1974-1993 until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa. She is survived by her children: Karen (Art) Boettcher, Greenville; Alan (Josie) Sabrowsky, Eagle River; David Sabrowsky, Elcho; Jeanne (Gilbert) Sager, Manawa; Brian (Jane) Sabrowsky, Seymour; Dawn (Mike) Heitman, Oshkosh; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother Norman (Phyllis) Kroeger, Hartford. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Sabrowsky. A memorial service for LaVila will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa with Pastor Thomas Theama officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. A visitation for LaVila will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
