Age 63, of Weyauwega passed away Monday January 2, 2006 at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove IL. He was born June 16, 1942 in Chicago, IL son of the late Joseph and Gwen (Koller) Hendricks. Larry graduated from St. George High School in Evanston, IL with the class of 1961. Following his graduation he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Army 1964-1966 and was a member of Military Honors Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. In 1972 he moved to Wild Rose, Wisconsin and was employed at the Wild Rose Post Office. On November 16, 1974 he married Jeanne Bouvat in Wautoma, WI. She preceded him in death February 10, 2002. Besides working at the Post Office, he owned and operated Larry and Jeanne's Midway Tap in Wild Rose and was Chief of Police in Wild Rose one year. In 1982 they moved to Weyauwega where Larry was Post Master form 1982 until retiring in 2001. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Weyauwega and a member of Arndt-Bruley Am. Legion Post 176, Weyauwega and a member of the Weyauwega-Fremont Lions Club. Survivors include 2 sisters: Mary Ellen Costello, Hot Springs Village, AR; Marge (James) Christerson, Des Plaines, IL; 2 brothers: Fred (Lynn) Hendricks, Elk Grove Village, IL; Jerry (Sandee) Hendricks, Addison, IL; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, a step-daughter, a step-son, a brother in law, sisters in law, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Marie and a brother-in-law, Jack Costello. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 7, 2006 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega with Fr. Bertin Samsa OFM Cap officiating. His cremated remains will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega in the spring. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A parish prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Vitas Hospice or the hospice of your choice will be appreciated.
