Age 60, of Waupaca, formerly of Manawa, died on Monday, September 18, 2006 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on February 5, 1946 in Clintonville, son of the late Marvin & Jeanette (Bonikowske) Hein. Lee graduated from Little Wolf High School with the class of 1964. He lived in Manawa where he owned and operated a farm, until moving to Waupaca in 1982. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was very fond of animals. Lee loved music and had a great sense of humor. He was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. He is survived by his partner in life Peggy; his children Larry Hein, Manawa; Kristine Hein, Dallas, TX; his stepchildren: Tom Manson, Carol Stream, IL; Steve (Sue) Manson, Japan; Andy Manson, Waupaca; Peggy Ann (Jason) Ziemer, Appleton; Julie (Kirk) Boutwell, Ogdensburg; seven step-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Ronald (Colleen) Hein, Poy Sippi; Daniel (Robin) Hein, Wausau; Carlton Hein, Embarrass; four sisters: Cheryl Beyer, Manawa; Connie Olson, Spanaway, WA; Susan (Dave) Cornelius, Manawa; Sharon (Bob) Burclaw, West Des Moines, Iowa. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents, a brother Michael, a brother-in-law Robert Beyer and a nephew Dan Moen, preceded him in death. The funeral service for Lee will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Rev. H. William Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Symco. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
