Lester Tessen

Lester Tessen, age 64, of Waupaca, formerly of Weyauwega, was taken to his heavenly home July 8, 2009. A special angel was waiting for him, his daughter Melissa, who preceded him in death along with his parents, Edwin and Caroline Tessen. Lester was born February 25, 1945, in Hortonville. He lived most of his life in Weyauwega. On May 15, 1965, he married Carol Fink. He was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Lester enjoyed driving his 1966 Dodge. He loved spending time with family and friends. Lester is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons: Ronald (Laurie) Tessen and Matthew Tessen, both of Waupaca; two daughters: Karen (Kevin) Glisczinski, Almond; Vicki (Travis) Simons, Waupaca; Lester was blessed with ten grandchildren: Vanessa, Michael, Rebecca, Virginia, Nevaeh, Heather, Burgandy, Guy, Terry and Aric; two brothers: Leonard Tessen and Roger (Linda) Tessen, both of Waupaca; a sister: Betty (Glenn) Drath, Ogdensburg; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. The funeral service for Lester will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating, Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Visitation will be held Thursday (Today) from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
