Lila Mae Buchholtz

Lila Mae Buchholtz, age 83, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019, in her home.

It was Lila’s wish to die in the same home in which she was born. She entered this world on January 9, 1936, born to Willie and Dora (Greening) Grosklaus. Lila was confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran in Weyauwega, WI. She graduated from Weyauwega High in 1954. On September 4, 1955, Lila married Daniel Buchholtz. They were blessed with six children. After her children were grown Lila worked in the deli at the local grocery store for many years until her retirement.

Lila is survived by her children: Cheryl Buchholtz (daughter-in-law) Waupaca, WI, Steven Buchholtz, Waupaca, WI, Joanne (Max) Lee, Rainbow City, AL, Rachel (Neal) Loehrke, Weyauwega, WI, and William (Babsy) Buchholtz, Greensboro, NC. Grandchildren: Heidi (Mike) Pavlu, Gig Harbor, WA, Chance Buchholtz, Waupaca, WI, George and Cate Lee, Rainbow City, AL, Sabrina, Amanda, Nicholas & Ava Loehrke, Weyauwega, WI, Brendan Buchholtz, Greensboro, NC. Great-grandchildren, Lily and Lincoln Pavlu, Gig Harbor, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sons Douglas and Kenneth.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Visitation will be held in church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega.
