Lillian M. Larkee

Lillian M. Larkee, age 101, of Hartford, entered Heaven on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger. Lillian was born on April 3, 1914, with her twin brother, Gordon, in the Town of Royalton, Waupaca County, the daughter of the late John and Emilie (Brasch) Chich. She married F. Ronald Larkee in 1937 in Weyauwega. He preceded her in death in December of 1983. Lillian graduated from Weyauwega High School with the class of 1932. Together with her husband, they ran Larkee’s Store in Manawa from 1964 to 1978. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.

Lillian is survived by her son, Jim Larkee; grandchildren, Daniel Larkee, Lisa (Randal) Kanitz, Brenda (Alan) VandenLangenberg and Sarah (Jaysen) Bauer and also great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Quillan and Irysa.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her children, Thomas (2005) and Linda (1978); daughter-in-law, Eileen (2014); siblings, Frieda, Gordon and Russell and their spouses and also her husband’s six siblings and their spouses.

A Christian funeral service for Lillian will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Newlin Schafer will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church Building on the Rock Fund or a charity of your choice.
