Lorelei (Lei) Otte
December 21, 1937 – July 3, 2022
Age 84 of Weyauwega passed away peacefully at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI. She was born on December 21, 1937 in Kaukauna, WI, daughter of the late William (Rocky) and Jeanette (Spaulding) Kuchelmeister. Lei graduated from Holy Cross Grade School in Kaukauna in 1952 and Kaukauna High School in 1956. On August 1, 1959 she married James Otte. Lei was an active member of the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega, WI. Lei and Jim were proud to be the Queen and King of Horse and Buggy Days in 2004. Lei’s youthful spirit shone it’s brightest as she remained actively involved in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives. Her three loves in life were faith, family, and friends.
Lei is survived by sons; Mark (Sharon) Otte, Fremont; and their children Crystal (Jeremy) Bruesewitz, Cody (Laura) Otte, and Samantha (Jonathan) Thiem; Guy (Danise) Otte, Mosinee; and their children Alex Otte and Conner Otte; Bill (Pam) Otte, Juneau: and their children Trae (Blake) Haines, Tobin (Kelly) Otte, Rebekah (Peter) Mountin and Sy Otte; daughter Lynn (Troy) Phillips, Spencer; and their children Whitlei (Dion) Behm, Kenisha Phillips, Wyatt (Katie) Phillips, and Tynae Phillips; sister; Karla Wolfinger; brother Scott (Sue) Kuchelmeister; and Todd (Juilette) Kuchelmeister. She is further survived by 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Lei is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son (Gregory), and a brother Jim and one sister Vicki.
The Funeral Mass for Lei will be held Friday July 8, 2022 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega at 11 am with Father Matthew Rappl officiating. Friends may call at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church 608 E. Main Street on Thursday July 7 from 4-7:30 pm and on Friday from 9:30am until 10:45 AM.
