Loretta Jane Postel

Loretta Jane Postel, age 83, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 19, 2016. Loretta was born on July 15, 1933 to the late Louis A. and Emma M. (Miller) Schneiderwent in the Town of Union, Waupaca County.

Loretta is survived by her 5 children, Christine Deming, Bradenton, FL, Robert (Marlene) Postel, New London, Sandra Butler (fiancé James), Neenah, Bill (Sandy) Postel, Manawa and Dianne Postel-Smith, Shiocton; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; sisters; Gertrude Pope, Manawa, Alice Yohr, Appleton and sister-in-law, Marjorie Schneiderwent, Manawa. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Loretta is preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin and Arnold; sister, Dorothy Rouer; brother-in-law, Arlyn Yohr; sister-in-law, Lucille Schneiderwent; son-in-law, H.W. Deming; grandson, Mark Postel; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Loretta will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Cline Hanson Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa. Rev. Dean Wheeler will be officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
