Lucille Pethke

Lucille D. Pethke of Manawa, age 76, passed away Thursday March 16, 2006 at Bethany Home in Waupaca where she had been a resident the past 10 years. She was born November 22, 1929 in Tigerton, daughter of the late Arnold and Esther (Potratz) Krenke. On November 24, 1948 she married William A. Pethke Jr. He preceded her in death September 20, 1984. Following their marriage she farmed with her husband in the Town of Union, Waupaca Co. until moving to Manawa in 1981. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. Her hobbies included her greenhouse and upholstering. She is survived by her children: Judy (Jim) Bartel, Merrill; Nancy (Dale) Ferg, Ogdensburg; Dave (Kathy) Pethke, Manawa; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Evelyn Rosenow, New London; Dorothy Chandler, Appleton; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. The Christian Funeral Service for Lucille will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday March 20, 2006 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manawa with Rev. H. William Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Symco. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
