Age 92, New London formerly of Weyauwega, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2008 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Margaret was born on April 20, 1916 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Herman and Louise (Hoffner) Engelke. On February 22, 1941, she was united in marriage to Vernon Paschke. Margaret graduated from Milwaukee State Teachers College. She taught Kindergarten in Weyauwega and Waupaca for many years. She volunteered in Waupaca (Riverside Elementary School) and also at Weyauwega Health Care until she was 90. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Weyauwega. Margaret loved knitting, crossword puzzles, and watching baseball and football. She is survived by three sons: Jim (Ilona) Paschke, New London; Richard (Noel) Paschke, Baltimore, MD; Jeff Paschke, Oshkosh; a brother, Harold (Dolores) Engelke, New Jersey; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and her special "daughter" Sandy Hagnes. Besides her parents and husband Vernon, she is preceded in death by a sister Norma. A Memorial Service will be held for Margaret on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service
