Marilyn June Thiel

age 75, of Weyauwega was called home and into the arms of her Lord, surrounded by her family, Friday January 25, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. She was born June 10, 1932 in Waupaca, daughter of the late George and Ella (Paulson) Cartwright. On April 2, 1949 she married Alvin L. Thiel. She was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Weyauwega. Marilyn was an avid outdoor sport's woman enjoying hunting and fishing. She was a member of the White Lake Aeration Conservation Club. She also enjoyed traveling. Most importantly, Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family. She had been employed by Waupaca County Child Support prior to her illness. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 59 years: Alvin; two daughters: Vicki (James) Barber, Waupaca; Cheryl Hasse and special friend David Hoffman, Weyauwega; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister: Patsy (Allen) Olson, Ogdensburg; a brother: Eugene Cartwright, Oshkosh; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Jeffrey; three brothers and four sisters. The funeral service for Marilyn will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday January 28, 2008 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday (Today) and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
