Mark Alan Suehs

December 10, 1960 — September 4, 2021

Mark Alan Suehs, age 60, of Manawa, entered into his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday September 4th, 2021. Mark was born on December 10, 1960 in New London to the late Arthur and Ruth (Johanson) Suehs. Mark attended St. Paul Lutheran grade school in Manawa and graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1979, where he met his high school sweetheart Kay Peterson. Mark forever declared Kay as “His Blondie” and they said their wedding vows at Zion Lutheran Church (Manawa) May, 15th 1982. Together they bought their first home on Elm Street where they became “the Suehs Family” and brought home 3 Children (Nicole, Brandon, and Shauna) and completed their family. Mark was employed at Sturm Foods as a supervisor and spent 30 years as a dedicated employee and also a great friend to many. He also was a Volunteer Firefighter for many years. Mark took a leap of faith in 2010 and bought “Waupaca Equipment Rental Center” and with his hard work ethic built it into an amazing business he successfully ran alongside his family. They spent every weekend “tenting” and throwing back a few Busch Lights. He sold his business in January 2021 to start retirement and relax with the love of his life, he planned on spending time at his cabin in Aniwa. Mark was a guy that had a strong faith in God, hard work, doing things right, and he was nothing short of a perfectionist. Mark had many hobbies and he excelled at everything he did. He was always an avid hunter, snowmobiler, trap shooter, pool shooter, and enjoyed throwing horseshoes. Mark took great pride in restoring Farmall tractors, and his 1967 Chevelle Supersport that he had since high school. He loved all of these things, but there was nothing in this world that he loved more than his grandkids. Mark was the best Grandpa and he loved rocking in his chair with those kids telling stories, preparing for his famous Easter Egg hunt, and watching their eyes light up at Christmas. Mark would do anything for those kids, and was always present at their sporting events, and any activities they participated in. “Grandpa loves you” was a famous quote he always used. Mark's family raised sheep since before he was born and he continued the tradition his whole life. “Suehs Hillside Hamps” was his pride and joy. He loved raising sheep and showing them all over the country with his family. Mark was known for his strength, generosity, contagious smile, kind heart, funny personality, willingness to help anyone, and the friendship he showed to many.

Mark is survived by his wife and love of his life, Kay of 39 years; his children: Nicole (Luke) Seeger, Brandon (Sara) Suehs, Shauna (Kris) Zielke; the little lights of his life...his grandchildren: Aubrie, Emrey, Cashton, Brihla and Jovie Seeger, Christiana, Ashland and Bennet Suehs, Brayden and Brystal Zielke; two step-grandchildren: Briley and Jarret Bolen; mother-in-law: Ihla Peterson; siblings: Greg (Michelle) Suehs, Randy (Susie) Suehs, Lori Suehs; brother and sister in laws: Linda (Steve) Bauer, Cheryl (Randy) Hass, Rick Peterson (special friend, Kelly) and Lana (Duane) Draeger; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; two very special friends Barb Lightfuss and Dick Piechowski.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brian; and father in law, Jim Peterson.

A special thanks to his dear friend, Pastor Tedd Lees for being with him and our family during his passing.
