Age 68, of Weyauwega, avid farmer, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at St. Josephs Residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 25, 1939 in Outagamie County, son of the late Martin L. and Elda H. (Doede) Hoewisch. He was raised in the Township of Dale. Marlyn attended Dale Grade School and New London High School. In 1959 he pursued his passion for farming. He also worked many years at Wagner's Cheese in Weyauwega. On April 20, 1968 he married his love of 40 years and partner Helen Ann Walbruck. He was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Weyauwega. He is survived by his wife: Helen, his sons: Robert (Heather), Weyauwega; John (Robyn), Waupaca; Richard (Heidi), New London; his daughter: Lisa (Andy) Forster; Weyauwega; grandchildren: Rachelle, Lex. Shelby, Calvin, Trevor; one brother: Willard (Mazie), Owen, WI; two sisters: Bonnie Huss, Appleton; Marjean (Jerry) Taylor, Spokane, WA. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Special friends: Hubert (Karen) Dombrowski and family; Lawrence Piotrowski; Dan Hallman; Ms. Berkans. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: nephew Michael Hoewisch, father-in-law: John Walbruck Sr. and good friend Jay Kobiske. The funeral service for Marlyn will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Weyauwega from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family wishes to thank the staff of Theda Care at Home, St. Joseph's Residence and Appleton Medical Center for the care Marlyn received.
