Michael Alfred Winters

Michael Alfred Winters passed away peacefully at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah on October 29, 2021. He was born on November 2, 1957 in Waupaca, WI, the son of Alfred and Regina (Ligman) Winters. Mike attended Weyauwega-Fremont High School. In his teenage years, Mike and his brother, Gary operated the family farm doing chores together before and after school. After the brothers quit farming, Mike worked in the concrete / construction business. Mike was a certified welder by trade, he could fix or fabricate up almost anything. He took great pride and was very meticulous with his work. Mike hauled haylage and corn silage with Dairyland Chopping from the time the company began. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was always up for a conversation with anyone. More than anything, Mike loved, cherished and adored his two sons. You could find them working together at the shop, fishing, getting parts, and Mike would be at all their football or basketball games, proudly watching in the stands.

Mike is survived by his soulmate and love of his life of over 30 years, Lisa Busse; sons: Bradley and David Winters, both at home; brothers: Gary Winters, Waupaca, Louie (Becky Grundman) Winters, Waupaca; sisters: Darlene (Tom) Wollenberg, Clintonville, Nancy (Heath) Winters-Miller, Waupaca, Betty Lou Winters, Neenah; brother-in-law: James (Della) Busse Jr., Weyauwega; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred Winters and Regina Crosby; Lisa's parents: James Sr. and Betty Busse.

The family wishes to thank ThedaCare Regional Medical Center for the care given to Mike.

Services for Mike will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00am at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega with Rev. Mary Bope officiating. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery, Town of Lind. A visitation for Mike will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm and again on Thursday from 9:00-10:45am.
