Michael J. Bauer

Michael John Bauer, 69, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born on February 19, 1948, in Appleton, son of the late Earl and E. Patricia (Clark) Bauer. Mike is survived by his three daughters: Heather Highley, Jennifer Reimer and Meghann Bauer; three sisters: Mary Ann Zunker, Pamela Haak, and Elizabeth McAuley, brother Tom Bauer and seven grandchildren. Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. He shared 34 loving years with his late wife Cynthia Lee Bauer. His family was his world - he was truly one of a kind. He loved his people to the moon and back. Smiles and laughter followed him into every room. His favorite place to be was out on the water. On a sunny day you could often find him on his boat surrounded by family and friends. He will be missed for his playful jokes, his kind and understanding eyes, superior listening abilities, belly laughter and his gibberish way of speaking.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church (200 S. Pine St.) Weyauwega, on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan McCurdy officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
